Feel Worse after quittting

I hate to be a debbie downer, but it has been a year an a half since I quit and I am WORSE off in EVERY. CONCEIVABLE. METRIC since I did. On the bright side, the cravings after almost 600 days have subsided to perhaps once or twice a week instead of constantly like they did for the first 8 months of my quit,  but also since then my energy did not increase, nor did my lung capacity, or appetite. As a matter of fact, they ALL got worse! I never noticed a heightened ability to smell or taste except for dairy: which never bothered me before but now almost always smells sour so any dairy makes me nauseaus. Chest x rays and lung function tests do not show any damage from 20+ years of smoking 1 pack a day, but I did gain over 70 lbs despite adhering to a healthy diet  and developed type 2 diabetes as a bonus! My immune system seems so muxh worse also since i quit, ive been sicker far more than I ever was smoking and also majorly clinically depressed. I am beginning to regret my quit choice, the only upside is that i am saving money not smoking, but my quality of life and health has ironically taken a turn for the worse since I quit and I still crave nicotine regularly, even after 600 days cold turkey. Of all the anecdotes ive heard, by now I should be fweling so much better and happy with this decision, but i am the odd one out. Has anyone else had such problems even after all this time? My doctor says that what im feeling is impossible given the timeframe and aside from a sudden unexplainable onset of diabetes, i have no descernable health issues
