OK, just letting y'all know.  I'm EVIL today!  I realize that I shouldn't be opening up Facebook and reading about politics in these early days.  This is a TOOL!  No facebook unless it's looking at cute kitties and things that make me feel positive.  I'm also pissed at myself cause I went nuts with the food last night.  Mostly healthy things - fruit, rice cakes, gummy bears (not that healthy), grape nuts...but I kept going back for more.  I don't want to do this because I'm trying to let go of excess weight.  But it's not worth smoking.  I still love to eat and snack late at night when I smoke.  The smoking doesn't make or break the noshing and bingeing.  It's day 3 and I know it will balance out.  I also know that I'll have more time, energy, breath to spare and I'll ultimately meet my goal of joining a gym at the end of the summer.  That is the goal, folks!

I'm shaking a bad cold so I'm back in bed where it's safe.  A/C on and computer on lap.  I can stay connected with the othere Ex'ers and get some work done.  No Facebook till tonight.  LOL.  Thanks for witnessing and getting it.

it is my fourth day and I have a cold too. I just shut off my air because I am fighting a cold.  I am broke so I have run out of healthy snacks. I will make it. Bettter than a smoky cigarette in my face. I have two cats and a one year old male kitten, and they keep me busy. I have been walking to keep off excess weight. Good to hear from you. Have fun on your journey of being smoke free.

Oh, YEAH - for years my habit has been to have the evening news keep me company while I eat dinner....welp - NO MORE!  I have turned it off and tuned OUT the news.  I'm not sure who they think they are broadcasting to anymore - but it ain't gonna' be ME.

Good attitude on the eating!  You WILL have more time, energy (and even $$$ for a gym) when your quit is well in hand.  You can work off any extra pounds then.

You are doing a GREAT job keeping your quit your #1 priority.  Keep it up!

Kudos on the day 3.  It WILL balance out.  The money you save from not smoking will help toward that gym membership.  Keep going.

Keep up the good work.  I need to know what's going on, so I do watch the news.   Facebook doesn't really interest me.  Sorry daniellea‌ and dashquit52‌ that you have colds.  Relax!

Don't worry about the weight right now...it's a whole lot better to gain a little weight that you can always lose than it is to pull around an oxygen tank that you can NEVER lose.  Someone told me that when I quit and it really put things into perspective.  Drink lots and lots of juice and/or water.  Rest, let Facebook go for a while.  I had to because of the political stuff too...it is overwhelming.  There is way too much anger out there.  I haven't been on except to check family pages and look for photos of my grandkids (who are young adults now).  Anger is a huge trigger.  Please take deep breaths in and exhale slowly...if you CAN, your cold might make things a little more of a challenge.  You can look at kitties and puppies and babies and you can search youtube for funny videos.

Keep at it.  If one thing doesn't work, try another, as long as it is not smoking. Great Job.  Yay for day 3.

Let's do it together, Day 4...for the 5 kitties between us!  Especially for that kitten. Walking is smart, I'm going to go with my friend to walk her dog today.  Have fun too, keep it real, stay close.

Hope you are beginning to feel better.  I hate colds at any time but there is something about a summer cold that just adds insult to injury.  I was so sick when I quit smoking that I thought I might die...I think my doctor agreed with me.  This IS going to get easier for you...it just takes time and there is nothing you can do to RUSH it.

@daniellea  That damn Facebook (lol). I’m new to this too,I’ve been without a cigarette for over 24 hours I don’t really know what to say to you all I can say is good luck and stay positive and don’t let Facebook **bleep** you off. I try to stay away from Facebook and social media now because it’s all about drama and negativity and today at this point of my journey  of not smoking cigarettes  I have to stay positive, focused And away from negativity and drama because if I keep surrounding myself with drama and negativity  I’m gonna wind up smoking cigarettes again and it’s not worth it to me but I wish you the best of luck and I hope you feel better
