Every quit is different

Like a snowflake ... everyone's quit is different.  We feel differently about it.  Some of us are joyful and others are sad.  Some of us are sure and others are worried.  Some of us use quit aids and other swear by cold turkey.  Some of us rid the house of every trace of smoking and others insist on keeping a pack closeby as a reminder.  Some of us tell people they can't smoke around us and others invite it, test it, stand toe-to-toe with it.

But whatever you do, whatever you feel, whatever you experience ... remember that there is one common bond that we all agree is essential to a successful quit.

You simply have to stop smoking.  No more smoking.

My son has been quit for more than 6 months now and when I talked to him on the phone the other night he admitted to falling back into the 1 or 2 a day trap.  1 or 2 a day for me ALWAYS means 6 or 7 next week and then 10 or 20 the following week.  For me, I can not smoke any.

Good luck to you, wherever you are in your quit!  Stay strong!  Much success!  No smoking!
