I tried to post this earlier but I'm not sure if I posted it right. If I did I'm sorry I'm going to post it again.

Today on my day one I started using equate nicotine patches. After I put it on I got a slight headache but didn't last too long. Is the equate nicotine patches a good one to use. Or do you have other suggestions.

The reason I went with equate nicotine patch is that my insurance would not cover a prescription patch. I found these at Walmart but wasn't sure on how well it works

I used Equate patches.  I felt they worked.  Congrats on quitting smoking.

I did not use patches but I would go with what Barbara145‌ says, I have heard others say they used the generic brand from Walmart and they felt that they worked..

I used Equate brand the 1st time I quit.  Only used them 5 days, then cut them in half for another 3 days, then never wore them again.  They were as good as Nicoderm CQ to me, but MUCH less expensive.  I did not wear them this time, I'm finishing day 3, heading to day 4.  Since I've been thru this, I know it's possible, and just looking forward to that awesome feeling you get about a month out, then 3 months out.  Another great tool I found helpful, I bought the Allen Carr Easy Way book.  Made ALL the difference with me.  Seems much easier this time, know the truth after reading the book...

Congrats on your day won.   Don't see why generic would be any different.  I used nicotrol inhalers this time.  Stay strong.

The equates are just as good as any other patches and many people quit with them.

I'm using equate patches. I trust them more than the nicoderm. I have had too many problems with the name brand nicoderm. The only difference is sometimes the equate patches start peeling off at the edges. When that happens I just use medical tape to tape them back down and all is well.

I am on day 24 while using the equate patch. I think I will step down to step 2 early though. I have 9 days left of the step 1 so will step down to step 2 two weeks early. We'll see how it goes.

I also use a nicotine spray or lozenge with the patch if it is super bad or in the morning before I put a patch back on. I can't sleep with it on because of the dreams.
