I had a dream last night. That was so real.I was surrounded by cigarettes. I didn't smoke but everywhere there was cigarettes. It was so real that I was expecting to see cigarettes on my nightstand when I woke up. Today has been very very challenging. The urge is strong but I am using my medication.

Thinking about cigarettes obsessively was a normal part of my quit.  I never think of them anymore.  It will be 11 years in October.  Keep up the good work.  Not smoking is a wonderful way to live,

I had smoking dreams, as well.  Felt very strange when I woke up.  I found out that I had to think about smoking in the beginning of my quit, so I didn't smoke.  I found out I did alot of mindless smoking, so NOT to smoke, I had to stay present and in the moment. Keep using your tools and working your quit, until it gets easier.

We call them smokemares!!  Most of us have had them, although the usual version is one in which we smoked!  Terrible when you first wake up from one of those and thought you had given up your quit!

You are doing above average that you were surrounded by them and didn't smoke one!  Be proud!

Carry on!

@mz2wonderful70 .. not to worry about.  Most of us would have gone through such horrible dreams ! Those will pass on as the smoke free days are accumulated.

@mz2wonderful70 I still have them on occasion.  I rarely smoke in them, but the one's where I did, were scary on awakening.  Dreaming about smoking makes total sense to me.  It was a big part of our lives and therefore another memory stored in our brain.

The important thing is we didn't smoke.

Keep moving forward.
