Dont Know How I'm/We Are Doing It...Talk About Being Tested!!

I have made it thru the last few days, especially Monday when I thought I was definitely going to have that last one while Steve was at work and wouldn't have to see.

Last night was the biggest test and today will be too.

My son, who thankfully moved out 2 weeks ago, came home during the day yesterday while I was working.  He let my dog out of his crate and didn't put his collar on.  The dog panics when he knows someone is leaving so obviously when my son packed something up in his car...Sunny bolted.  This was at 11:30 yesterday morning and it's freezing here  (22 last night) and he is still gone.  It's been almost 24 hours.

Worst part is my sons attitude.  He didn't even call me to let me know my dog ran off.  I had to find out after 4 in the afternoon when he was not here.  Long story short...I call my son and ask for a time-line so I know how long Sunny has been out (it was in the 30's at that point).  I get a short text back.  After numerous, cold texts during evening, he tells me to leave him alone with my "crap".  How did my sweet little boy turn out to be a 20 year old jerk?  No compassion, no consideration for anyone but himself.  He actually text last..."it's a win/win situation for you....if he doesn't come back...you've said he is a bourdon, and if he comes back, maybe he will learn a lesson... but leave me alone with your crap"

I cannot believe that Steve and I stayed strong last night thru all of this...but we did!!!  Tonight, the plan is to bagged up everything in his room and put it out.

This morning when driving out of my subdivision, I saw a dog hovering over an animal on the side of the road.  This is a large dog that always comes down to my yard to play with Sunny.  I saw this animal and knew it was him.  Called Steve's parents to come and look at it for me....it was a deer!  Thank god.  I could not have handled that.  I saw brown and a lot of white spotting but that turned out to be ice.

I do hope that my Sunny is warm and safe wherever he is.
