It is thought that if you cook a large whole turkey, let it cool and then put it in the fridge for the next day.
The next day get up and begin your quit, this could be any quit, smoking or drinking or whatever........
While starting your quit when you have cravings take the cold turkey out of the fridge and pick at it and eat some. Put it back in the fridge when done.
When you have another craving do the same thing......
Do this until the bird is gone,,,,approx 3 days or so.......
The physical make up of the bird acts as a natural detox for our body.....so while you are nibbling on this thing for the first few days you are actually helping your body detox.......
Hence the term "Cold Turkey"
