Quitting smoking is not about will power.

It's not about fighting this supposedly-constant battle with yourself about whether you should smoke or not.

Quitting is about deciding what you want, and then not going back to the other side of the equation NO MATTER WHAT.

Decide that the quit is what you want, and hold to that conviction. No matter what your body may be telling you, your mind is in charge. Just remember that your mind said NO, and you need to stick to that no matter how you feel.

Do not do this alone. Come here for support.

We can help you through it.

GREAT blog!!
Decide to quit, then KEEP THAT PROMISE.

EDUCATE yourself by doing the reading people on here suggest......
MAKE A PLAN of what to do when "craves" hit... know what you will do ahead of time to get your mind off of lighting up, whether it's jumping jacks, biking, reading, sticking your head the in the freezer, popping some grapes, showering, sipping ice water, making tea.....
AND THEN STICK WITH IT... even if it is uncomfortable at first.
It will get better... especially if you keep coming here and asking for ADVICE... and support.
You can do it!

Just keep as busy as your body will allow, keeping moving even if it is walking in the grocery store or run because you are running for your life, your new smoke free life!!!!!!
