Hello friends 🙂 day 2 has come to a close and I made it ..there were some tough craves today,in fact it seemed like one big crave lol. I know it wasnt because I went to the gym, gave my sons girl friend a driving lesson and went to visit my best friends mum in her new residential home. Oh and saw my lovely grandson come out of his new school to be ,he starts in September, with a big grin on his face as swung mummy's and daddy's arms as hard as he could while he pulled them along lol. BUT it honestly did seem like one big crave day .

I am usuing nrt,an inhalator and patch and at times 12mg ecig (not at same time as inhalator and sometimes just to hold in my hand like a stress relief) . I think I may have been hungry a lot today as i didnt eat much til late so that may well have had something to do with things. BUT IT DOESNT MATTER ...I MADE IT :))

onwards to day three ...

sweet dreams all

Drink lots and lots of water, it really helps to flush your system.  Sometimes the beginning FEELS like one big, long crave because we obsess about smoking, it DOES go away, takes time and effort and education.  Read everything you can about this addiction and you will have a much better journey...this IS a journey, it is not an event, it goes on and on.  Please go to jonecarp's page and read about what to expect...education is the key to success here.

Happy you are with us!

By using 3 NRT's at the same time you may be getting much more nicotine than you were when you were smoking.

please start unlearning the hand to mouth and inhale motions. It is critical to unlearning smoking.

NRTs are TOOLS.  They will not quit FOR you.  Just keep that in the back of your mind.  Yes, in the beginning it feels like one big CRAVING.  I think that's because they come in waves - sets of waves.  But you can learn to surf them.  Just takes practice and time.  Quitting is a skill that can be learned.  Maintenance too is a skill that can be learned.  But that's fo the next stage of the journey.  Just keep on.  Perseverance pays off.

http://whyquit.com/whyquit/LinksAAddiction.html The easiest way to quit smoking ...do not let them near your face. (jonescarpism)

Nicotine is the enemy. It wants to keep you addicted to it. So, when you're ready to accept that you are a nicotine addict, you'll be ready to say goodbye to it's hold on you.

Have you done any research about nicotine addiction? I found this very, very helpful, maybe you will too! Keep moving forward, learn, read, know why we need niotine to feel "normal".  Learn why it takes us time to say goodbye to it for good.

Just know, it's your choice, it's all about freedom. The desire to be free, the desire to be you without stimulants, without any drug.  Nicotine is a drug. It controls how we fee, so let it go. You CAN do anything if you want it enough.

Time is the healer.

Smoking is not required.

:)) I'm not usuing 3 nrt at the same time;didnt explain too well did I lol. I wear  my patch and if/when  i get bad crave I cannot get rid off via ,distraction, beathing through it etc then i either have a couple of blasts on the inhalator or if really bad the ecig..both of which i hold differently and 'drag' on differently then a real cig. i'm reading and reading 🙂

Start saying "I don't do that anymore" when you think of smoking.
