Slow, deep breaths, going slower and deeper with each.  Take a walk if you can!  Go up and down a flight of stairs. Exercise is the BEST anxiety reducer.  What you are experiencing is withdrawal from nicotine.  Your body is going through a LOT!

Hang in there!  This, too, will pass!

I am with you, yesterday was my Quit Day. It wasn't as bad as I expected, the evening was a bit tough and I had a few moments, but today,  every little thing is annoying me. Things that are everyday occurrences and never upset me are making me very frustrated and it is only 10:30am.  But we will survive and yes, I am trying the breathing and just added a Nicoderm patch.  Best of luck!

OMG, me too!  Deep breathing really does help.  I take a deep breath and blow it out, like I used to blow out smoke.  My biggest problem is clenching my teeth.  I don't realize I'm doing it until my jaw starts hurting.  Or maybe it's because my jaw isn't getting the exercise it's used to since I haven't smoked in 3 days.  Oh wow, think about it!  I smoked so much my jaw got a LOT of exercise!  Sounds like I need to do lot more deep breathing myself!  Hang in there, ok?

Breathe!!  As long as you are focused on deep breathing, you cannot feel that anxiety.  Its when the anxiety gets a hold of us that we tend to panic.  Just breathe and focus on breathing in peace, breathe out all anxiety.  I believe you've heard this before since I just read the above comments   Sorry!!  But it works.  Turn on some of your favorite music as you breathe so you can just get carried away.....you've got this!

Don't fight it, breath through it!  Yep, keep on chanting it!  You are doing the best thing for yourself, by quitting, and your lungs are really liking all the clean fresh oxygen vs. the deadly carbon monoxide among other things that smoking delivers!  Yes, you can do this, and keep right on coming here for support.  Keep right on talking to your brain, because you are the boss of your brain, not the other way around!  Nicotine has control of your brain too, so be stronger than the demon!  If quitting without the use of NRT's then you are nicotine free in after  72 hours!  That is only 3 days!  Let's go, ROOT ROOT!

Cheering you all on !

REMEMBER:

The only way out is through!

Take a nap. Watch comedy. Take a walk. Review the reasons you chose to quit. Dream big. Work steadily at saying no, I'm not smoking and I mean it. No excuses, I'm not smoking.

Smoking is an addiction and any smoker is capable of quitting, including you. Yes you can get through this day without smoking.
