Day ONE!

Did good, I guess, a success because I didn't smoke!  But I did what was suggested, got rid of everything from the area that I smoke and of course that meant I did not take any smokes to work with me last night.......it's been a tough 28 +/- hours!  I keep reaching for the smokes that used to be within reach all the time.......good thing they weren't there....but then did something else instead:  exercise, sugar-free sucker, candy or gum...or a nap (only when at home on that nap-thing LOL)!

I am always surprised that the craving disappears after a while...make myself busy when that craving hits...and before I kno it, it's been more than half an hour or so...and the craving has subsided!  I just have to keep that in mind ~ a craving only lasts 3 minutes or so.........no cockiness here, I will just keep my head down and work on me!

ah yes, the ghost pack that isn't there...this is the toughest part of quitting is the repetetive connections to everything we;ve done, every memory built on a smoke.

But that sma thought at 126 days was my known turning point in which II knew I was free. Hang in there

Trying to follow your quit history here. So back in March you quit for 6 days.  You're currently on Chantix.  And you set your quit day to the 16th.  And here you are finishing up day one.  You're doing what's suggested on here.  And that's a real PLUS.  You're LISTENING.  And PAYING ATTENTION.  We aren't going to steer you wrong on here.  We've been there, done it.  We know.  We speak from experience. Continue to take what works for you and leave what doesn't.  Above all remain true to this commitment you've made.  Which is really just a commitment to your better  self.  The best part of yourself.  So remain true to YOU and you cannot fail.  The BEST PART OF YOU is shouting YES I CAN!.  Listen to it.  And listen to it louder than the other voice which is beckoning you to succumb.  Shun that addictive inner whispering voice.  It tells you nothing but falsehoods.

And keep working on the best of you, acknowledging, but turning away from the least of you.
