Day 8 is almost over

The day after I smoked my last one I started coughing really bad. I get that it's my lungs trying to clean out but I'm on day 8 now and it hasn't got any better. I know that its not a cold because a cold feels different. I was wondering if the quitting cough usually lasts this long?

personally, my cough lasted only a couple days, but i am in constant need of clearing my throat still. I'd check with a doctor if it doesn't get better soon. Hope you feel better! Congrats on Day 8!!!

i smoked for 40 years and bever coughed after i quit.

i never coughed when i smoked either.

monitor it and go to a dr if it keeps up too long.

I would have a doctor check it out only because this is the season that everything is in the air. Could be what you think it is but then again it might not.  i would just get a confirmation to be safe than sorry.
