As my 3 yr old son would say "KA-CHOW".... when he's happy about something or jumping up and down about something!
I'm here. Day 60. I feel good. I'm not going to lie, every once in a while a craving will hit me upside the head. I just say back to the pesky craving "I don't smoke, leave me the heck alone". It works most the time, sometimes I have to say it a few times for it to get the message.
I did not quit only because of vanity, meaning I quit for so many reasons, all the standards... better health, set an example for my children, smell better, save money, and not be a slave to some yucky physical addiction. BUT I will say when I see someone who has smoked for a long, long time (including my mother) standing in the cold, with stained fingers and teeth and grayish complexion, it reaffirms my commitment to my quit. They don't look happy. They look relieved for like a minute in time but funny thing is.... that those same people have to seek relief like every hour and 1/2. It's such a short lived relief that only comes to them because of the nasty nicotine flowing through their bodies. With that small relief, comes prison, comes bad skin, bad breath and lots of money wasted.
I'm so happy to see all the folks on here! New and old. I read every day but given the start of our semester here ( I work in university office), my hours are crazy and workload insane!
