Day 6(ain't no stoppin' me now!!)

I've always been a excellent starter, but sucked when it came to endurance of something. It would be like i just lost the drive i once had. I had to learn the hard way in life to PACE myself so i wouldn't faint before i completed the task. But just like Stella, Essence has got her groove back! (LOL).  Life is good and worth living. I would have never dreamed i would reach day 6 in my previous attempts to quit before. Honestly because i was quittin' for my family and friends. Sadly, none of those quits were ligitimate(I ALWAYS cheated and lied about it) . That was then.....Now i QUIT for ME and i am true to myself which allows me to be truthful to you all(my quit family) and it feels better and better with every breath. For those of you who are far beyond me with your QUIT ,Keep going you inspire me! For those who are just beginning , tie a knot and hang on your REWARDS  will be GREATER than your STRUGGLES.

Hey, thanks for the post. I'm one of those in the preperation stage. So guess what? Your inspiring me! And also proving for those who don't make it the first time to never give up on trying because sooner or later we're no longer trying. Sooner or later we just quit!

And you are exactly right in my opinion. If your quitting because others want you to then the odds would be a lot less for success. In fact, my motto for the last few days since I began this prep is "I got myself into this. There's no one to blame but myself. And I'm going to get myself out of this because I'm the only one that can." It helps me to remind myself of that daily.

Congratulations!

You know your serious when you can finally be honest to yourself and others about you other quitting attempts. It feels so liberating to be able to say, I have quit smoking, I have not had even one puff! I felt so impossible before, and so empowering now. Keep up the good work!!!

oh yes...all those attempts to quit that ended in closet smoking and lies.  I hated feeling like a guilty liar.  It makes such a huge difference when you do it for yourself....when you really want it!  Congrats to you and your six days!  You are two days ahead of me.

Great job, when we quit for ourselves and have the self confidence and support of the winners we can beat this addiction and escape the slavery of nicotine.  I am proud of you and for you.  Big pat on the back!

Congrats on 6 awesome days.It truly does feel great when you know in your heart that this is the time. Once and for all. And you're right. You gotta do it for yourself and not just others. I'm into my 10th day today and the cravings are all but gone.  Hallelujah!! stay strong and keep on keeping on.

Rock it girl! I'm right behind you at Day 5 - I can relate to you on how this quit is different. I always lied about it in previous attempts - this time I'm committed.
