I am on day 6 and 11 hours!!!!! Day 4 was the hardest day. I am so committed to this quit. I did not quit smoking 6 days ago I became a NON-Smoker 6 days ago. I knew when I started this journey that it was different then any other quit I did the work with the reading and preparing for my triggers which I find are fewer than I thought. My family (even the smokers) are so supportive! The little monster will poke his head up every so often with a crave, I acknowledge it and tell it NOPE I am a NON Smoker.
I come here and read and keep planning for what to do when a crave hits. I even went out on New Years Eve (day 4) That was no big deal I felt sorry for those who had to go out in the cold to smoke and I did not want to do that!.
I quit on December 28 the anniversary of my mom's death. She died of Lung cancer at the age of 54. I don't want that to be me! I will be here when my daughter or son announce that they will be having a baby! I watched my daughter get married. I will watch my son graduate this May ! All as a NON Smoker
