I don't think I have ever made 5 days on previous attempts to quit.
Someone told me that 3 days is when nicotine leaves your body? Really that seems a little far fetched. I mean cocaine is 9 days, THC is 28 nicotine would seem to be much longer detox period.
I only get a craving to smoke after eating now. Although I still think about it from time to time the "crave" only comes after eating.
The hacking cough I have developed I know is symptomatic in quitting and I have plenty of Ludens cough drops for that. Wild Cherry indeed. Every time I pop one in my mouth I think of Cherry one of my first quit friends on here.
So all in all I guess I'm doing ok. My Packers lost badly last week which would have driven me to smoke a ton but i didn't smoke once. And I survived just fine. I am finding that Allen Carr was right this is easy if you think about it as something you give up not something you sacrifice. And the One Day at a Time thing also works wonders.
5 Days and counting, I'm hoping that deeper urges are not right around the corner, but also cognizant of if it happens I am prepared to face them.
Be well
