Day 40

Wow I have been smoke free for 40 days how cool is that!  I am very pleased and happy with myself!  I love that I do not smoke I am going on vacation tomorrow I do not have to worry about the plane trip or being at my sisters house and having to go smoke.  But the best part is I will be able to hold my great neice for the first time and know that I do not smell like smoke!! 

I read alot here I know I am in or going into NML but I have decided that this is not going to be a problem for me.  Just like when I quit I decided that I was a non smoker and I haven't looked back.  So here is to many more smoke free days for us all.

No Man's Lane (NML) is officially 2-4 months.  It is only noteworthy because you will be very comfortable in your quit, not thinking about smoking much, and then, WHAM, a craving like the early days will ambush you out of the blue.  It is only a problem if you are not prepared for it, and, perhaps, think that these cravings are NEVER going to end!!!!    If you are prepared to use your tools from the early days and know they are, in fact, going to end just as abruptly as they came, you will be fine.

Congratulations on 40 days!   Isn't it GREAT to not have to think about that next cigarette?

Oh you are going to be able to fully appreciate the pure HEAVEN of baby smell...so happy for you!

NML has presented me in my very strong and comfortable quit with some CHALLENGING moments...like you...I have made a decision that is final...smoking is not an option...

"Be Prepared Not Surprised" is our motto...I just call to mind my favorite people here on EX and have a little conversation with them in my head...after all...I basically know what they would say or it is sure easy to imagine...it works great...
