Day 4 of my quit almost in the books

Okay, day one was a breeze. 2 and 3 a bit harder. More stress, but those days would be stressful anyway if I had a smoke. Smoking changes nothing. It might feel like it, but that's just because you're taking a break. There's other ways to take breaks without slowly killing yourself. For example, I had a favorite smoking chair. After some rearranging, I still sit in the chair, but it's more relaxing to enjoy the fresh air. Haven't been on here much since, because I've been trying really hard to just not think about smoking. But if I really get tempted, I will come on here for support. Relearning my patterns has been the hardest part. But I find something else to keep myself occupied instead. It's slowly getting easier day by day. Tomorrow I'm going to a pumpkin patch with my daughter for her first field trip ever; so glad I won't be a slave and thinking, "How much longer until I can have that cig" the whole time. A little nervous about gaining weight. My mom said she gained 20 lbs when she first quit, but she lost it pretty quickly. Cigs used to be my reward for doing big tasks around the house. It's so different now, because I reward myself with a fun sized candy bar each night for not smoking. Now excuse me while I enjoy my little Heath bar.
