Day 32

Still doing fine this Thanksgiving Day but it is a normal day for me. We are doing our actual thanksgiving on Saturday and there are several smokers in the family. Thank goodness we do have a rule that they go outside to smoke. That'll help but i am still anxious about being around smokers that much. Up till now, i haven't really been around smokers. Nobody at work smokes, nobody at home smokes. Gotta stay strong and proud. I have gone this far and don't want to mess up. My husband says i need to look at the smokers and feel pity for them instead of envy....maybe that'll help.

good luck to all of you this Thanksgiving and i do give thanks for all the help you all and the website have given me.

While its true that you may be tempted, as this is your first time back around smokers BUT wait until they come back inside after that first smoke.. the way they smell will be enough to remind you WHY YOU QUIT. Trust me.. the smell is truly disgusting, and I cant believe we as smokers smelled just that way for years...  Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Remember they don't "get to" smoke, they "have to" smoke. You don't have to do that anymore.

Your husband is right - Allen Carr's book says that too - so that is what I have done from the beginning - had an attitude of feeling sorry for the smokers in my life. It really works. Plus what emt088 said about the smell is so true - WHO KNEW!!
