Well this is my first post.  I have been puff free for 31 days so far.  I'm feeling strong but am nervous about the journey ahead.  I really appreciate reading all the posts. They help prepare me to be ready for what's to come.  Hang in there everyone.... We got this!!

Congrats on your decision to cut smoking and welcome to Ex!  Don't know why I am just now seeing this post but glad I did! So by now your one month and one day smoke free!

Good to hear your reading a lot of posts. Have you ever heard of Allen Carrs book, The EASYWAY to quit smoking? Its a great little book and fast read. I highly recommend it. Reading on this site and reaching out as often as needed even if only to say 'HELP'...will help you stay committed to your quit.

This community is so helpful and supportive.

Come often and reach out when you need it

We are here for you!

Welcome to EX...I must say that I am impressed...you made it through the first 31 days without being here, did you have support from another site?  At 31 days, you are entering what we "fondly" refer to as No Man's Land (NML) here is a link to a blog written by JonesCarpeDiem‌ that you might find helpful. https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/groups/best-of-ex/blog/2011/05/24/no-mans-land-days-30-to130-appr...  In the meantime, keep doing what you have been doing, read blogs, pay attention to what has worked for others, go forward and know that you are not alone. Every person here wants you to succeed at your quit.

A lurker...hahaha.  I think that many of us were lurkers before we stepped out of the shadows.  I can tell you that I find blogging and encouraging others helps to strengthen my own quit.  I am really proud of you for stepping out of the shadows and for having done such a great job preparing yourself and sticking with it.  This is a journey and that was the hardest thing for me to completely accept.  I kept wanting the "fight" to be over and then I realized that it wasn't a fight...it was a one step at a time journey to freedom, some steps are harder than others but freedom is worth every single bit of work.
