Day 3, still really hard!

Hello all. This is the beginning of day 4 for me, cold turkey, 3 under the belt, & I'm thinking of any excuse to have a cig at this point. I feel like every second is a constant struggle, I don't think I've ever been this anxious my entire life! I have plenty of stuff to do - but I'm not motivated or organized enough to do it. I feel like a loser & I just want to give up, yet, I haven't. Sigh, just needed to vent.

I was in a local grocery store when I first quit, struggling, thinking of smoking, and then i saw an old man with the oxygen bottle. Was a nice reminder of why i quit. Hang in there, its worth it

congrats! Take deep breaths, go walking anything to distract yourself! Congrats on cold turkey. I tried it that way and couldn't do it. After the 1st day my nerves were jumping out of my skin. I went on Chantix and felt much better. Keep going Strong!!!!!!

You are NOT a loser. You are adapting to a smoke free life, and its not easy, but it is soooo worth it. Day 4 was probably the toughest for me. I went cold turkey also, and even though the nicotine is out of your system, the cravings will be around for a while. The good new is they become less frequent, and less severe. Try not to think too far ahead. Just take it one craving at a time. If you can beat that one craving, then you can beat this addiction. Hang in there and don't give up!!!

Try to hang in there. You will start fealing better as time passes. Smoking is just going to set you back to square one. You can do this if you put your mind to it. Take it one urge at a time and stop trying to come up with excuses to relapse. Im on day four of being nicotine free and fealing better each day. Be strong and fight the good fight. It will be worth it in the end!
