Day 25

Good Morning,

Its early..I’ve been waking up daily between 3&5.. not really sure why but here we are. Normally I would get up and grab a cigarette, and smoke and smoke...now I just lay here and read over blogs, Facebook, music, or check daily news ( not my first choice as you can see) .. I’m glad I’m not going in and out to smoke, clothes stink , breath stinks, hands stink, it’s amazing how strong this habit was for me, I was getting very close to over a pack and a half, so embarrassed to say, but here I am Day 25. I know it’s not a long time but this is not my first quit .. but I feel so different now.. I don’t do that anymore. N.O.P.E.

Wonderful isn't it? Once we begin to truly understand the WHY of addiction and put it all together? We then can truly enjoy what it means to be free of it and fight harder to hold onto to it.

Congrats on 25 beautiful days quit and many many many more ahead!

When we smoked every day, about every hour, 25 days is a long time!    You're doing great.  Keep it up one day at a time.

I am sure it was a mistake from lack of sleep - but I see you mentioned smoking as a "habit!"  NOPE!  Wouldn't be this physically and mentally hard from which to break free from if this were true.

SO glad you have made the decision and are giving it what it takes.

The trouble sleeping is a withdrawal symptom - it will pass!

Hang in there!

Great reasons to keep the quit...me too...after failed attempts this one feels so good and natural...for the first time smoking feels so unnatural to me...Happy Wednesday ~ Colleen 121 DOF

Day 25 is a VERY long time, you are not far from coming up on your first month.  Maybe you are waking up earlier because your brain is getting so much more oxygen without the cigarettes.  Just keep taking it one day at a time.  We are here for you and we all want you to succeed.

We should have a wakeup party. I'm up at 3 often these days   25 days is a long, long time. I consider it one quarter of 100, which makes it sound even more impressive!

25 days is awesome. Your 30 days smoke free is right around the corner. At 6:30 AM this morning it’s been 12 days for me not smoking. I thought that my cravings for cigarettes in the morning outside my house would be a bear but they are not.  I am not sleeping well either I hate. I keep waking up over and over again all night long.     I am hanging in there though

I'm so glad you're not grabbing for the smokes too.  We all are.  Could you take a nap perhaps??  I mean to offset the early mornings??  Give it a whirl.  Ten-15 minutes?? A power nap!!

Same here. Wake up every morning at 2:00.  Instead of the smoke I just turn on the TV and take in a little animal planet till I fall back to sleep .  At day sixty something its a bit easier .
