Day 20 and Irritated

Day 20 and I am irritated.  I am not sure why, but I woke up irritated.  I am in a weird place today.  I was so tired all morning that I actually nodded off at my desk!!!  But I slept fine last night???  Irritated and tired, not a good combo.  I am doing ok and not craving but thinking a lot about smoking today.  After work I am going to either the gym or the bike trail, weather permitting, because I feel like I need to just burn it off.  I pledged not to smoke today.  Smoking will not make me less irritated nor will it give me the instant gratification I would like to have.  Smoking will just make me want to smoke more.  1 = 10,000.  I will NOT smoke today.

you will reach a point where you don't think about it and if you do its a flash and you would never act on it.

that's about 130 days.

flow with it.

Your freedom is worth alot! Sometimes I think that it is the thoughts of smoking that devil us about the addiction. I too, am pretty pissy today and just damn off my feed. But it has almost been eight months cold turkey and smoking has NOTHING to do with my mood or lack of fluffy feelings! The reward process has included cigs for so long that I still need to remember the need for balance in my life. No cigs equal few breaks and fewer rewards. Maybe you need a pat on the back, a glass of wine or a reward of your choice to remind you to smell the roses!

You are doing great and I am very proud of you! Remember NON SMOKERS all over the world are having crappie days today as well. Cigarettes need not factor in!!! Hang in there!

Walk it off.  Walk it off.  Walk it off.  Since I've quit, I've probably logged 40-50 miles of walking.  Compare that to the 450 cigarettes I would have smoked in the same amount of time.  I'll stick to walking and lots of water.  It does get easier, I promise.

130 days?  Yeah seems I remember that about right.  That's about the time I get arrogant and think I can manage my addiction and smoke at will.  Hahaha, what a joke.  Anyways, I will work it off, thanks for the feedback.  I am ok, I'm not gonna smoke, I'll be pissy regardless.  Just try to stay on the path and move along.   Good days and bad days are better than no days.

Having a place like this to vent, and support reaches back out to YOU is GOOD, isn't is? I do hope you are having a better evening. I like this realization you've stated, "good days and bad days are better than no days".  .... Thanks!

I guess we still have our ups and downs. But we don't have to smoke! Great jobs on sticking to NOPE!

Did you get a chance to take a ride or go to the gym?  I did a good workout today, and that helped a lot.  The endorphins are a good thing - and healthy!

Wow. I wish I were at day 20. I still have 4 weeks to quit date. Morninngs are toughest for me. I have a morning routine that includes cigarettes and coffee. I think this  is my toughest  time of day. I am not working so I have thought of adding a 1 or 2 mile walk to morning routine and leaving cigarettes at home. I figure any positive change is a good change.
