Day 2 begins

So day 2 begins, and I am finding it hard to not go out for a quick smoke first in the morning as that has been my daily routine for a long time. Instead, I cooked up a big breakfast and getting ready to hit the gym.

Day 2. I am committed.

And that's how we do it.  We don't smoke where, and when and why we used to smoke.  Now we just do something else.  I bet breakfast tasted better than a cigarette anyway.  You'll enjoy working out a lot more.  I noticed that I could breathe better within the first week.  Amazing how I went so long thinking it was okay gasping for air.

Great job on quitting.  Every day is a victory and something to celebrate.  Be really nice to yourself right now.  Little treats, lots of water and plenty of rest make the first days easier.

Very good!!  After the nicotine is out of your system you will discover that most "cravings" are actually times that are when you usually smoked so it seems "weird". Keep persevering - it DOES get a little easier - keep stacking the days one at a time! Don't think too far in the future - just take it as it comes!

Thanks for all of the comments! I really like the idea of giving myself little treats everyday as getting through one day does feel like a big victory right now. Some treats for me would be massages, baking cookies and eating them, taking a nap, and going to the theater.
