Day 2 I think I can I think I can I know I can

It's only day 2 for me but its been 6yrs since I went more that a few hours without a cig so I'm feeling pretty good about it.  I've laughed at myself all day because I am a little spacy, well more than usual!  I took everyone's advice and read Allen Carr's book, loved it!  I'm also taking Chantix, (its a wonder drug), chewing gum, and cinnamon candy.

I now think of myself as a non smoker and like it.  After reading Carr's book it made me realize exactly what the Nicotine addiction does to you, and I now understand why you keep craving cigs.  Maybe I'll wear different color socks on each foot, drink my water with a different hand,  laugh some more, especially at myself, change up my routine, whatever it takes to stay smoke free!  Hopefully no one will aggravate me or there could be trouble

Hi Lindsay,

Congratulations on TWO days - it is wonderful!!!!  You go Girl!  You are in this to win it.  You've already read the Allen Carr book which is awesome and gives you so much mental imagery to keep away from the cancer sticks.  I love your attitude.  Hugs Judy

What you think you shall become. If you think you are a EXsmoker, then it shall be. I trust you can do this. I'm in Day 4. Congratulations to you for making the decision to quit. Carr's book saved my life as well. Great job! Love, Jen

The change in routine will help a lot. I blow bubbles after meals and walk my dogs in the morning instead of smoking with my coffee.
