Day 144

Last time I had posted about having a sore throat. Turns out its a sinus infection (I get them every year) but its so bad that I have completely lost my voice. It just comes out as a harsh whisper. And I have to work today! Haha! I always thought that they wouldn't be so bad if I didn't smoke anymore. Guess I was wrong! 😛

The girl I went to high school with is in rehab until January and paralyzed from the chest down, but she's got positive thoughts and hopes of being able to walk again. She posts frequent statuses on facebook to remind me how lucky I am to just have a sinus infection (and no voice).

Luckily I don't work until later and it's a shorter shift. Now I'm laying with my dog and drinking tea. For all the newbies, just keep that girl in mind. In a blink of an eye she's been told that she's extremely lucky to be alive and that she may never walk again. And now instead of enjoying her first semester of college she's living in rehab. AND she's doing it with her chin up! Quitting smoking isn't near that hard. We can all do it.
