Day 102

Still plugging. Staying busy.
Update since last time. Feel like i am in the doldrums. No direction and no wind to fill the sails. Motivation none existence.

Did see a psychologist and got on a medication which should help. Have been able to focus a bit more, have been spending my weekends de-shitting my garage. The last 3 weekends so far, i fill up 2-3 large trash cans for Monday pickup.

Going through the process of organizing. I see a plan starting to develop, but it is slow in coming.
Uphill climb.

A few nicotine thoughts still creep in, but still doing the N.O.P.E.

Not vaping- check

Staying busy - check

Nicotine thoughts ignored - check

Finding a project - cleaning out garage - check

You may not feel motivated, but you are pushing on, keeping occupied, and adding on nicotine free days!

It should start to be easier soon.

Hang in there - and BIG congrats on 102 days!  Did you ever think you could get this far?  Be proud you have!

The first 4 months (130 days) are the time I've watched people go back.

Have you had a day where you realized you didn't think of smoking the day before?

Give it another month and see how you feel

You passed the 90-Day milestone, which was HUGE in my quit. Seemed to me like after that mountain, there was no way I'd ever go back. Also, cleaning up is a great way to move that quit forward. Good on you!

This is perhaps one of the toughest periods of a quitting journey to get through (other than that first miserable week) - when the motivation has become flaccid.  Relapse become easy in this stage.  The thrill of the challenge has morphed into maintenance.  Maintenance is dull in comparison.  What helped me keep up some excitement was to aim for short-term milestones or goals.  First it's a day, then first week, first month, Triple Digits...  what's gonna be your next milestone?  Maybe the 6 month one?  Maybe getting through a birthday of someone who loves you?  Maybe start putting your ex vaping money in a jar (if you haven't done that before) and after a week go buy yourself a trinket to commemorate another week vape free.  Use your imagination and come up with something to aim for.  Make it fun.  It may help you get over this NML hump.  That's all this is.  A hump, not a mountain.

You're doing just GREAT.  May not feel like it right now, but think about how many people would give anything to have 101 days under their belts.  You're miles ahead of where you were.  Just stay on that beautiful nicotine-free road.

You've been admitted to the Triple Digit Club!   Way to go.   Good you're getting some help.   Quitting smoking can cause emotional issues that may have masked by smoking.   The emotional withdrawal was much harder for me than the physical.  Then I discovered I had hypothyroidism last March and that can also have a negative emotional effect.  So I went through a rough period myself.   Hope your feeling better soon and congrats on keeping your quit in the face of adversity.

Congratulations, you are doing great.  It's one day at a time and No Man's Land can produce some surprise craves but it sounds like you are dealing with them and growing stronger all the time.  Glad you talked openly to your doctor.

those days are your proof it's possible to let it go and be comfortable doing so.
