Woke up at 3 this morning thinking about a cigarette. Came here and read everyone's blogs and got back to sleep by about 4:30. I am so grateful for this site and all the wonderful people on it!
With this being my first day at work, I can probably plan on feeling triggered on the way home from work--so I am deciding in advance that I will not smoke today no matter what. It will be interesting working for Pastor David--he has been my friend and spiritual leader for such a long time. Our church is very small so we know each other well. In 2010 when my dog Bella got her terminal cancer diagnosis, Pastor David came out and said a blessing for Bella and Fred. The dogs were so calm with him, as if they knew what was going on.
