I've been 10 days without a cigarette now. And today marks the fourth day I've gone without nicotine gum.
Im feeling a lot better. I started working out every night and watching what I eat to lose a few pounds and ensure that I dont gain another 10 pounds like I did my last quit. But the exercise is actually helping to make me feel pretty good. I feel more accomplished and like I have something to work towards. And most of all, something to give me an endorphin release that isn't smoking.
The nicotine should be out of my system by now. It wasnt really hard getting off the gum. But it helped IMMENSELY with the quitting process. I had a few moments of frustration discontinuing its use, but it wasnt anything nearly as bad as quitting cigarettes cold turkey. Im glad I finally decided to try it.
Im making this my forever quit. Im never going back to cigarettes. Not after what I've had to deal with the first quit and especially this quit, which was not physically as bad as the first, but so much moreso emotionally and mentally draining for me in the beginning.
Glad to be free.
And smelling good 🙂
