I am free! I got rid of the rest of my pack of cigarettes, and I have quit smoking! I have plans to keep busy this week. A friend from church lives out in the country and has many rescue dogs on her property. She says I can come out and play with the dogs anytime, so I am going to do that. I also have book club at church tonight. I have another friend that has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She can't drive anymore, and she is lonely and bored. I am going to take her out to lunch this week. She quit smoking years ago, and she rightly told me last Sunday that I was just using Fred's passing as an excuse to smoke. She was very no-nonsense with me. I really appreciate her support of my quitting! Plus, I have my tutoring to look forward to. And I will spend more time at quitsmokingonline and whyquit.com. I will exercise everyday because it makes me feel good. I have decided that if I need to, I will chew a piece of nicotine gum, but I WILL NOT SMOKE! Tomorrow, I will hop on the Freedom Train and celebrate my rediscovered freedom. Thanks to all my EX friends for your support and advice!
