Day 1....(Separation)

This morning I woke up and thought .. NO Cig as soon as I wake up .. WAIT.

So i had coffee..no cig.

Then I had my first 1 about 20 mins later. Off to a good start!

I got to work had coffee.. then the cig.

About an hour later. I was on a smoke break and I looked down and there was coffee......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I have one strike on the separation. Cuz there was COFFEE+ CIG!

Its only 12:30p.

Its 3pm... I've had two more since my last posting...

This is gonna be hard. i have smoked 5 today. My usual is 10. I'm trying not to meet that number. My goal is 8 for today.

I know I can do it!

Wheew!(exhale)

Its now..5:30pm I have had a total of 5.5 cigs. Its a race to the finish!

7pm. I had one @ 6pm when I got off work. I'm serious about this separation thing.

MY TOTAL for today so far is 6.5 cigs. My max is 8 for today!! I will do it!

Once i do it today.. I'll keep it up!

Its now 11:30pm. I have had 7.5 cigs. I'm gonna go smoke a half just to hit the max. This is different but, I'm doing it! I actually think I used to smoke more than 10.

My old habit was 1 before work. 6 during work. and like 4 or 5 after. That's way more than 10.

But I'm happy with my new "REDUCTION/Separation PLAN"!! Its cool! I feel accomplished.

Thanks everyone for your continued support and trust.. there will be more posts!! This site is like a EXsmokers HAVEN!

Great job!! The triggers are definitely rough to get by. Coffee is one of my major ones as well.

I understand the coffee thing, I live for it, maybe change it up drink a energy drink instead, maybe that will bypass your trigger. Good job your sound like your on the right track, you can do this!!!

you know i made a commitment yesterday to cut and quit by may 22 it really makes me feel better to know that others are going thru the same feelings as i am thank you for sharing
