Namaste 🙏🏽

I am Vaibhav, 35 from India.

I have been smoking for almost 12 years now, first few years were 1-2 cigs a day, which then went up to 3-5 in the later years.

I started living alone starting 2019 and that's when the average number of cigarettes per day begin to increase with the peak touching 20-25/per day. I currently smoke around 10-15/per day.

I made my first attempt to quit smoking in around april-may 2020 during the covid lockdown. I don't remember the details but I think I didn't smoke for around 10 days, and fairly smoking free for around a month (with an occasional cigarrate here and there).

I do realize that craving do go away, and the health benefits and the uplift of energies are immense. I also realize now how important it is to protect our 'Quit' and not lower our guards when the enemy seems weaker. Nicotine does get weak quickly but it's persistant and always ready to crawl back and fight.

What's also different this time is that I am in a better space overall in life, I wasn't working then while I am working now. I was staying alone then, and I am staying alone now. Due to lockdown, cigarrate access was difficult then, it's very very easy now. World was at standstill and not a lot of activities then, but a lot of activities around now.

I will try to post as much and as little needed, I am excited for my next attempt, I know how simple it could be and the cravings does go away, but I am equally scared this time. I will try not to rely on motivation this time, but on my will power and commitment to not smoke.

Dhanyawad🙏🏽
