Chewing too much gum but still have the urge to smoke.  It is easier since I am at work, and I would need an excuse to leave the building, since I told everyone I quit, everyone is very supportive.  Not looking forward to the drive home and tonight at home, I can't imagine not smoking after dinner.

Its time  to get your imagination working overtime.

If you crave at home, put your hands under cold running water.

put your head in the freezer for 15 seconds (no you don't need to decapitate yourself to do this.)

you just have to distract yourself for a few moments and then think about why you actually wanted to smoke.

is it just a habit to smoke after dinner?

make new habits.

relearn your life without smoking

Urges happen, but you don't have to entertain the thought!

Oh, but I believe you can imagine doing anything other after dinner,

like a nice walk or a bubble bath to keep smelling good!

You can do it!

Come up with a new routine - it takes re-learning all the things we did with a cigarette. You can do it! I like a nice Tootisie Pop after dinner!

Enjoy your delicious dinner, don't ruin it with the taste of nicotine! 😉 is there any time that you can't imagine smoking? Like after brushing your teeth or something? If so, try brushing right after you eat. make a hot cup of tea, coffee or cocoa. Distract yourself. The craving lasts approx. 3 minutes, don't let your mind beat you up!

Right after dinner, make yourself a dessert! A little bowl of ice cream? A piece of pie? Cake? Encourge your body to realize it is sweet time now, not nicotine time. You CAN do this!
