Description
A smoker for over 30 years. A half a pack a day for the most part. Quit for a year and a half in my mid 20's which was the first time I tried. Started again a year and a half later for no particular reason other than I wanted to. Of course I thought it would be easy to quit again. 5 serious attempts never lasting more than 8 days and countless spur of the moment attempts usually lasting just a few hours, here I am a nicotine addict who smokes because I have to not because "I enjoy it so much". After all this time that is the first time I have ever admitted that. I want to quit to live longer for my family and because it is inconsistent with Christianity.
Brief Description
47 year old male. Smoked my first cigarette at 13. More or less a social/occasional deal until 17 when it became an everyday habit.
