DRAGGGGGGGING

Time feels like it is standing still lately.  I am still in the days of 70 of my quit, and time is seriously dragging.  I have had urges to smoke every day lately. Is this what No-Man's-Land feels like?

I am staying strong in my resolve to remain a non-smoker.  However, some weeks just seem to test me more than others.  It has little to do with stress in my life--just a desire to "have a smoke".

I look forward to the day when I no longer think about smoking on a daily basis.  I know that EVERY day that I don't smoke, I am closer to FREEDOM.

N.O.P.E

Peace,

Sabine

Sabine, you are definitely in NML! Keep that Quit Tool Box handy and recheck your "Why I want to quit" list. When I was there, I spent a lot of thought responding to other people's Blogs and writing Positive Essays that probably didn't reflect my fuzzy thinking but clarified where I wish my head was! You heard that saying, "Fake it till you make it?" Well, that's what got me past the desert land! Basics and really acting AS IF I were secure in my quit! I hope this helps you! Stay Strong and Protect Your Quit as if your life depends on it - because it does!

Now your inner junkie realizes you mean business and it is trying to trip you up...don't dwell on the voice. It only wants to tell you sweet lies....distract and move on...inhale air and stretch those muscles...get back in the gym. During this point in my quit I began RE-READING about my weak spots...

Hi Bean

You are very very close to being there. Remember you sacraficed nothing in quitting this addiction and have so very much to gain by maintaining it. All the best to you Bean.

There's still some re-learning that sneaks up on you in no man's land.  Just recognize it and move on to the next thing, walking or other type of exercise are great to get the endorphins going.  You've been thru alot in these past weeks, be gentle with yourself.
