DAY#4 SMOKE-FREE FOR ME ๐Ÿ˜€

GOOD EVENING My wonderful, smoke-free community! I first want to thank my heavenly father for allowing me to open my eyes on this fine day. I also want to thank all you guys who have made me feel so at home here. I feel so lucky to have stumbled across such a great group of people. It is my great pleasure to celebrate day #4 in my smoke-free journey!! It feels AMAZING ! There have been cravings but Iโ€™m amazingly shocked at my growing ability to dodge them is turning out quite successfully. I am a little nervous though about my weight because I was already battling with weight when I smoked. But now that Iโ€™ve quit I notice that Iโ€™m snacking more. I try to make the snacks as healthy as I can but I seem to be gravitating to sweets a lot more than before. But I am doing well & I look forward to the milestones I will achieve along the way. Have a great day!

Congrats on your quit! Healthy snacks are a great idea - plus, lots of cold water. You are doing fine - stay close!

You should increase your activity/exercise to make up for any extra calories - and it is good for you in other ways, too.  Improves your mood, and if you do it briskly (like swinging your arms as you walk) you can also get a hit of dopamine you are missing from not smoking.  ALL good!

Your doing great. At this early stage of your quit protecting your quit is the most important thing.   Do what you can about the weight gain but keep your quit your first priority

Thank you! Steady as she goes! Take it one day at a time! You can do this!!! This community is one of the best things I could've found on my journey! I knew this time, from past experience, that I can't do this alone. I NEED HELP! AND THAT'S OK! It's ok to ask for help! That's what I'm doing differently this time. So, be easy on yourself & reach out if you feel weak. We are here for you! CONGRATULATIONS ON THE 1ST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!
