Description
Hi all! I am a 35 year old (soon to be ex smoker) woman. I have an amazing 8 year old daughter and a supportive boyfriend who are embarking on this journey with me. I have smoked for 20 years a pack to pack and a half a day of Marlboro lights. I was recently hospitalized due to abdomen pain and found out I had stomach ulcers which the doctor said was caused by stress and smoking. Who knew, the thing I enjoyed most when I was stressed was causing more damage than the stress. Actually I knew all along since I am a nurse but never thought it would happen to me. Lately I've noticed just walking up the steps to take my daughter into school leaves me winded and exhausted. What kind of example am I setting for my preciou child!! She has begged me for some time to quit smoking and I always say this is the last pack...and then I go and buy more and she says I thought that was your last pack Moommy? This time things will be different...IT WILL BE MY LAST PACK EVER!! NO MORE WILL I BE CHAINED TO THIS ADDICITION!!
