In four days I will reach my one year anniversary of quitting vaping. It's blowing my mind a little bit that this is the longest I've gone without nicotine since I was a teenager.
If I'd known what challenges this year would present to my mental health, relationships, and professional life, I wouldn't have been able to take the leap. That said, I'm glad I didn't know, and especially glad that I did quit in time to reduce my risk in this pandemic. I am also proud that despite the stress, the anxiety, the frustrations this year has brought, I got through it without nicotine. The rewards have been many and I am so grateful to myself, this program/community, and my offline support system.
