I am so sorry you have to start over, but GLAD that you are ready to tackle it now.  There is no time like the present.

Do take a minute to try to remember your thought process when you made the decision to give up your quit.  Then make a plan NOW what you can do differently if the same thoughts come calling again this time.

It's good you are doing the prep work.  Let us know how we can help.  I'm glad you're back!

Best wishes on your quit path! I am gearing toward my 5th quit and determined this will be the one that sticks. I am using mini nicotine lozenges and I found 2 products to help with the hand mouth habit. One is called Cigtrus. Cig like shape, essential oils. I’ve smoked menthol so purchased peppermint, gives that throat hit.
The second is Monq. Rechargeable, cig like, essential oil cartridges, vaporizes and mimics smoke. You puff and hold in mouth and blow out via mouth or nose. Monq has helped when can’t avoid other smokers. Cigtrus has helped with getting through those few minutes or so of urges. Helps regulate breathing and slow it down.

You can do this! I look at this like learning to ride a bike. You fall and skin your knee and you get back up and try again, and againnn until you finally take off flying down the street ringing your bell 😄

I remember showing off my skinned up knees as a kid. Badge of courage! 💪🏼 I’ll be proud to say The 5th quit stuck!!

@Patrick1234 So good to hear from you.  Glad you're back and haven't given up on your quit.  This is a journey that can take us on many detours until we get it right.  It took me me 50 years and multiple attempts.

You were always a great supporter of other quitters. Supporting others also reinforces our own quits.   Glad you're putting a plan in place and you know we're here for you. Reach out anytime we can help!

Hope to see you on the Daily Pledge to stay on track one day at a time.

Stay busy and stay close.

@Patrick1234 Sorry, I think I misunderstood.   You already quit on 4-23.  That's great!

@Patrick1234 You know how that is and you're prepared to deal with it.  Getting through this part takes commitment and determination.  You have both of those qualities.  What tools are you using this time?    I found short walks really helpful when I had a craving. I would just head out he door and walk a few blocks.  It's a great distraction and you know you need to replace that dopamine that your brain has become accustomed to.

Let's never do this again!

Hang in there and don't forget to stay close.  These Exers saved my quit many times early on.

Hugs
