I LOVE words! And like many of you, I love it when I come across a saying that really impacts me, or that I think will impact others.
One of the most recent is one I came across in our "Journey Groups," our small group, in-home bible studies..one of which I lead. It goes like this...
"Don't ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and then go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive!" Howard Thurman (?)
Don't you just LOVE that??? I sent it to all my kids....all 9 of them!! 😉
Then I thought back to how unalive I felt as an addict! That addiction was sucking not only the physical life out me, but maybe even more tragically, the emotional and spiritual life as well. Slavery in any form is debilitating, dehumanizing, and crippling on so many levels. I hated how pathetic and defeated it made me feel.
PLEASE.....walk free today!!! You were meant for so much more than addiction! Don't listen to the lies, don't spew the excuses. Decide TODAY that enough is enough and that you are going to face all that life holds, the good, the bad, the ugly.......SMOKE FREE!!!!
Only then will you truly come alive and be the you that you were meant to be.
