Hello Everyone, It has been awhile since I visited. I have been busy staying strong and smoke free. I just want to share how helpful this group was for me when I was struggling. I was being tempted to smoke and was searching the internet for help. Quit line just wasn’t enough emotional support when I needed it. I landed on become an ex and through the daily pledges and blogs and sharing my struggle I was able to continue my quit successfully. I am proud to say that I am over 800 days quit. June 22, 2018 was the last day I smoked. I honestly wasn’t sure if I would make it because I had been on a roller coaster of stopping and starting for so many years. Here I am..still choosing not to smoke. At this point smoking rarely enters my thoughts. When it does I wonder why because it’s so random, then move on to living smoke free.
Do not give up and do not give in to random thoughts. I feel so much better. I have my same highs and lows in life, however I do not reach for a cigarette to support either.
To all the new quitters, it gets easier really!! To everyone still smoke free, stay strong and never give in. To everyone, when you struggle know that you have a soft place to land. This group offers so much support and good advice even if you only pledge daily and read others posts.
Just do it!!!
