Originally I had chosen a day that ended up being the first day of my mother’s 2 week visit, I knew that wasn’t gonna work and wouldn’t set me up for success.
Friday evening while brushing my teeth, I spit up a blood clot/bloody phlegm and as the evening went on could feet an infection bubbling/crackling in my right lung…. Great.
haven’t smoked since I spit that up, been 44 hours. Haven’t ever gone this long, last time I tried I got to 42 hours and was white knuckling it. I also believe I had taken way too much nicotine replacement and was in such an anxious, jittery, nervous energy kind of state where I was exhausted but too wired to sit or lay down. I thought at the time it was withdrawaling from the chemicals in cigarettes but I now believe I overdid the nic toothpicks.
anyway , that’s the start of my journey. I didn’t have any desire to smoke until today. I still don’t really want to , it’s just a small craving and it’s not an option.
