We change.  If we don't change then we don't adapt and we don't grow and we don't learn and we don't move at a steady pace.  I think it's all about the pace, not necessarily that we are running at super speeds or that we are faster than anyone else, but simply that we are moving in some sort of direction that produces growth.

If we don't want to change, then we simply can not grow.  When you're facing this addiction, face-to-face, toe-to-toe, then realize that you are stronger simply because you're on a path of growth, and that's enough.

Sometimes just realizing your own strength is enough to move you along the path and get you over the hurdles that are blocking your way.   And I think that we forget to realize that we are changing and we are that new person every day ... that if you look at yourself in the mirror and see the person you were yesterday, that's not exactly accurate.  Every single day you're a new person on a new spot on the road ... moving just a little bit further along ... growing just a little bit more ... changing.

One of the hardest things to do is to give yourself a new label.  We are used to saying our name when we introduce ourselves to people and keeping that name our whole lives, but ... honestly there is so much more to us than that simple one word label.

Be strong today no matter what you face and allow yourself to be somebody new, because actually, you are!

A recent email from Story People said this:

Words of Comfort - There are days I drop words of comfort on myself like falling rain and remember

it is enough to be taken care of by myself.

Thanks I needed that. I am changing, sometimes I think for the worse when i look at my weight gain, I had amembership to the pool but my car broke and won't get fixed for a couple months. I have been doing yoga everyday, I meditate and that helps calm me. i don't have a thyroid and I take meds that make me gain weight.

I love louise Hay, 'YOU can heal your life"Here's a mirror work thing from her

"say aloud and look in the mirror

I now realize I have created this condition. I am now willing to release the pattern in my consciousness that is resonsible for this condition.

I LOVE ME

Changing and emerging, now I love that thought and will hold onto it all day, thank you Ohio for putting this into perspective so well.

Interesting.  Just the other night I was chatting with a woman and my son's game.  She is from the "good" side of town. I could afford it, but never feel as though I fit in.  Now that I don't smoke there is nothing about me that doesn't fit in. (Except my rebellious and down to earth attitude 🙂 )
