I felt it necessary to change my user name and icon to help me to remain more anonymous, as I am going into business for myself and thought it better if the public couldn't do searches on google and possibly come up with some of my blog posts.  This will enable me to be more free to discuss what's really going on in my life and hopefully get to the root of my smoking addiction problems.  I have many, many health issues that play a role in my life, such as narcolepsy, REM sleep behavior disorder, sleep apnea, snoring, periodic limb movement disorder, schizophrenia, panic and anxiety disorder, depression, Graves' disease, hypothyroidism, and Thyroid Eye Disease.  Smoking helps none of these things I've come to realize, and it actually makes some of these things worse.  If anyone here is dealing with any of these conditions and has successfully quit smoking for a period of time, any period of time, please message me and let me know how you are doing.  I have had doctors tell me NOT to quit smoking due to my schizophrenia and panic and anxiety disorder, claiming it's too dangerous to my mental health to quit, but other doctors insist I quit, due to my Thyroid Eye Disease, claiming it's making it much worse and is one of the root causes of the disease to begin with.  I'm not any better smoking than I was last year when I quit for four months, so I guess the doctors' concerns about my mental health going haywire if I quit are wrong, although extreme stress is what brought me back to smoking again last year.  I take many medications that quitting smoking will affect (I'll need to adjust my dosages), which also scares me.  I'm now functioning well on the dosages I'm on, and am afraid to mess with them.  Please reply with your thoughts and advice if you'd like.  Thank you.
