Share your quitting journey
Hello people! My name is Chad and I quit smoking back on January 16 2009 and I drew much of my strength and support from this website and all of the good people who belong to it. My close and dear friend Leslie (Fiveblessings) turned me onto the site and told me I would be able to speak my mind and see that I was not the only one out there struggling and wanting to take back control of my life. Boy was she ever right! I have met some really great people here and still stay in touch with them all these years later and we are all very strong people with the desire to live smoke free. We were not always that way and it took a lot of hard work and tough days of getting by. It gets easier as time goes on and you just have to stay focused and think of all the good things about it as they far out weigh the negatives. I am here for anyone who needs me and I would love to able to share my story and help others out with their quit.
Today is January 19th 2016, 7 uears since my first and last profile. I quit and maintained that for about 5 years. Somewhere along the way I found myself back in the habit of nicotine and lost my battle for the last 2 years or so. I need to find myself on the correct path again and remember why and how I did it the first time. I have a ton of support from wonderful friends I met here. I have stayed in contact with many and some I would love to reconnect with and share the journeys. I hope storngly to find the strength again and the courage to keep it going.
