Description
I am a 58 yo dancer, djembe/bass/keyboard player with a partial degree in Art, Physical Fitness and Cultural Anthropology. Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Right now I am considering opening my own dance studio, but there are so many studios here in town I'm not sure how successful it would be. I'm also considering going to nursing school since I've wanted to be a nurse since I was little. I have a thing for sayings to live by and my current favs are 'IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN' - George Eliot; 'NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP' - Winston Churchill; and 'IF YOU AREN'T LIVING ON THE EDGE YOU'RE JUST TAKING UP SPACE' - Unnamed Chef, Napa Valley Wine Train. I had a heart attack two years ago and it really changed my outlook on life. I have an ICD now to prevent my heart from fibrillating, pretty scary at first because I was afraid I'd set it off if I did anything. Got over that in Cardiac Rehab. Now I look at life as an adventure I want to live and enjoy every moment I have left to me. And that is another reason I desperately want to quit smoking for good.
