CAN'T SLEEP !!

It's almost 2 AM and I can't sleep. Just naturally went into the sun room, turned on the TV and lit up.. I keep forgetting the Nicorette.. When I bought 2 boxes of 100 pieces each, I cut them out of their package, put them into 3 baggies and put a bag near the computer, another bag in my pocketbook, and  a bag next to my "smoking" chair.( the recliner that helps you up) Just reached for a piece.

I'm trying to change things during the day,but at night it' harder. Getting on the computer helps take my mind off of the Gosh Awful cigarette. I'm learning so much from you individually and from Community.. Thanks again, everyone for the support and encouragement.. Sure would like to know how to get the count up clock form Make A Wish to MY PAGE. I don't have My Space and it sounds to me like........anyway,if anyone knows how to do it, I would like to use the moon (I'm a Moon Child) and have it there by th11th of November at 12AM.....

Will try toooooo goo back to sleep now. If anyone is out there, write a quick message. I'd appreciate it.   Candy

Candy, I'm out here!  However, my ability to leave "quick" messages is doubtful (just review all my previous blogs! aaahahahaha)

Listen, kiddo.  This is the first time I've seen a blog from you. I haven't checked out your profile, so I dont know if you are 25 or 55.  I don't know if this is your first quit or your 99th quit. I don't know if you've actually quit yet or are doing the preparation to quit. (Perhaps the "moon child" comment should give me a clue but it doesn't... )

So if you need a "quick message", here it is, girl: If you haven't quit yet, do the reading.  Don't try to quit until you've spent time here on this site, doing the reading, tracking the cigarettes, making a plan and setting a date.  IF you have already quit, do the reading anyway, or again.  And then read it again.  Make a profile here and introduce yourself as a new quitter in a blog and then stay CLOSE.  Blog all the damn time. Ask for help. You won't fail if you stick close by and talk to us.

So much for a "quick message".  Just PLEASE register that if you've taken the effort to show up here on this site and blog, you will NEVER be alone here.  We care and I will be looking for you on this site tomorrow, okay?

Sky Girl gave you some great info, but I just wanted to write you a quick note to let you know you have my support, too.  And if you stick close to this site, you will have more support than you know what to do with.  The people on this site are wonderful!  You CAN do this!

Candy,I'm here too.

I've only been on this site for a few days so I'm in the learning stage.

But I found out right away the support is wonderful.

Just by reading your blog, I know it's time for me to write my first blog,

Thanks for showing me how important that is for me to do to get the help I also need.

hi, obviously you haven't quit yet or there would be no access to cigarettes.

Hi Candy,

Welcome to EX.

You can select a count up clock from this website. I don't know about a moon child, but there are many options. Just select your option and fill in the details for your quit date. It looks like you expect to quit on Nov 11th..

Continue to prepare for your quit by reading as much as you can about nicotine addiction. Practice with separation exercises from cigarettes with your everyday routines. The more you plan for your quit, the better off you are.

I am here for you, too! We have all been down your path and some have been rockier than others. Stick with us. We will never steer you wrong.

SkyGirl gave great advice. Dale was right, too. Do not keep a stash. Sip water, that helps me a lot.

Keep in touch!!!

Countup clock......click www.wishafriend.com/countup/ - Once there it will give you different options for background images for your clock, select the COUNT UP CLOCK that you like, then it will have you type in the date of your quit, and the time of day and event message, which can be "Since I quit smoking" or whatever you want to put then click to get the code - Once you do that, it will give you a code to copy and paste, which will be the one in the box under Embed Code: Copy and (highlight and right click) - Go to your profile, click "edit profile" and enter the code into any of the areas, such as Brief Description, About Me, but not message board. Then Save that and there ya go!! Hope that works. PS. If you get 2 clocks it's okay...we can fix that tommorrow. IT always takes a few tries, don't smoke over it.

Ditto-All these wonderful folks! The support is what got us all through- the difference in ALL the other quits. This is the one -want it- own it- and be accountable- Here! Ceremoniously crumble that Sunroom stash...and be in charge of your quit! You are not alone.
