Bumpy morning

The nicodemon must know what today is because he is ANGRY this morning.  Too bad for him, after 2 full days, I know I can enjoy a life without smoking and actually enjoy it more than when I was a smoker!  My morning craving, which was fine yesterday, seemed to not want to go away this morning.  Every time it seemed it would pass, another one would pop up.  Well too bad, because I have more important things to do than take time out of my day to drive to the gas station to ruin my quit!!!  I think the worst of this morning is over now, and I'm looking forward to going to work since it's always been a "safe" place for me.

Tonight is the first bowling league we've had since I stopped.  I plan on just staying out by the lanes and not setting foot in the bar.  The only reason people go in there anyway is to smoke and there's no point in me going in there and smelling horrible!  This is probably the place where I'm around the most smokers at one time, but I informed all of them last week of my plans to quit and they all backed me up and aren't the type of people who would try and tempt me, luckily.  The bowling alley itself might hold some "place triggers" but I know I can get passed those and you guys are here for me!!!!

It's a great day to be smoke free!  N.O.P.E. 🙂

I cant believe there is still smoking allowed inside.

No doubt it will be a true test for you, being one of your triggers. But you are very positive and doing great in your quit. Im not worried for you at all. I know you will do fine.

Step outside for some fresh air,and deep breathing if you get yourself in a situation.

congrats so far

You are doing awesome! I know I have told you before but your optimism and positve attitude is GREATNESS, and contagious! Even though you are in the early stages of your quit, you are an inspiration to us all. You will succedd, and in the process help other succeed too. Keep up the good work, you are a NON-SMOKER!

You should read Allen Carr's book on the Easy way to quit smoking or quitsmokingonline, it will help.  Go to Maggie's or Strudel's pages they ave web contections to those sites as well as whyquit.  Stay strong you can do this.

I was really nervous about my first time in a bar after quitting, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Stay away from the smoking area as you said, but also be sure to mentally align yourself with the non-smokers. There will be more non-smokers there than smokers, and you are one of them now!

You show great confidence in your quit.  Be careful this evening. If you feel tempted, just leave. Nothing is as important as protecting you quit.  Be strong, I will be thinking of you.

Great attitude.  Just be carefull tonight.  With the NicoDemon voice already screaming, the bar might be over the top.  Protect your quit first and foremost.  If the cravings are too strong and you feel tempted to smoke, leave.  Just go home to your safe place.  I made my home my "safe haven" where I could hide from the world to get past the cravings.  It is great to be confident, but have a plan to deal with the cravings if they come up and start to take over.

Good luck tonight! I'm sending you (((hugs))) and strength!!  Let us know how great you did in the morning!
