Bit of a problem....Help, please!

I have one patch left on Step 1 for tomorrow morning.  I am getting them through the Veterans Administration and I'm not sure I called for my next step of patches soon enough.  Hopefully, they will be in the mail tomorrow.

What I want to ask is, if they aren't in the mail, should I buy some (Step 2) or should I go a few days without a patch until they come in?  Today is Day 27 and I'm not sure I'm strong enough to fight the withdrawals also.  I actually went without a patch this morning because I forgot to put it on and had a horrible few hours before I realized I hadn't put my patch on.  I take them off at night because of vivid nightmares.  I have a hard time when I first wake up (I guess until the patch kicks in?).

Just trying to figure out whether I should spend the money to buy patches if mine aren't in the mail.  I think I would be ok (I really have my mind set to this).  But I don't want to risk losing this battle.

Listen to your body. You know it better than anyone else.

I used 10 of the step one in 14 days. After a few times (not in a row mind you) of forgetting to put one on and realizing I didn't really need them, i stopped.

If you feel like you have learned what to expect when you get a craving, and you've learned how to divert your mind from cravings, you may not need them anymore.

You figure out what's best

Last time I quit for over 3 months (started back because of a huge personal loss), I only went about halfway through step 2 and just stopped wearing them because I felt I didn't need them.  I did just fine coming off them on step 2...but I'm not so sure about step 1.  I'm not really planning on going all the way through step 2 this time either, but I am a little nervous about going from step 1 to nothing at all.  I just don't want to mess this up and if spending $40 to buy some patches will help, then I'll do it.  If this morning hadn't of bothered me so bad, I probably wouldn't be stressing, but I would have given a million dollars to have had one this morning.  So I think I really need to do Step 2, even if for just a little while.

I quit with the patches too, and I'm thinking it was about 2 months total, BUT, your quit is for you....go to Walmart tonite or tamale and get a week's supply....very cheap, about 15 bucks....easy peasy...the MOST important thing is that you stay quit and relearn your triggers and solutions, as this is a 95% mind game. So, in the meantime, keep reading to get that brainwashing out of your mind.

I think you should do what you feel you need to do to get through the few days while waiting for your patches to arrive.  If you can buy just a week supply and you would feel better not going off the patch then do it.  If you feel confident enough to try a couple days off the patch then do that.  It is your body and mind and we can't make that decision for you.

I think  i would but a small box just to be safe, or maybe you don't need them.

Better to buy the smallest amount you can, then you have them and there are no excuses!! If you don't open the box from Walmart, you can always return it?!?
