Be Careful And Be prepared

As the Holiday’s approach they can be a difficult time for many of us with addictions. Different reasons of difficult, can be stress, financial, crazy / busy, family gatherings, missing family and/or friends, work parties etc., We can all feel the pull of addiction during these times.

Be prepared for what you will do in place of relapsing.

Vigilance is the Key to keeping the quit.  I quit before Christmas, so it was tough but it was the early days and I had all my quit tools.  It is important us all to have some in place, just in case.  (Breathing exercises, take a walk, take time out for you, chewing gum close by, lots of bottle water to drink, etc.,)

Reaffirm your reasons you decided to quit smoking.

Come to Ex’s and spend time encouraging others on their journey.  Before you know it, the holidays will be over and you will continue to be smoke~free.

Wishing everyone a Joyous season.  Remember to be Grateful for your new and improved life.

I am here to quit smoking. This will be my third quit. Both quits before lasted a long time and then about 4 years ago I thought I could just have one with a cocktail and a friend, here I am 4 years later and finally quit 13 days.
